Last 25th of June, the ERMN organised its first webinar titled “Building up Users/ Ridership in Rural Mobility”. It was attended by more than 60 participants among local authorities and key transport stakeholders across all Europe.
The webinar focused on effective strategies and success stories for boosting user engagement and ridership in rural mobility schemes. The discussion focused on key questions: how to foster genuine engagement and when it is most appropriate time to act. Concrete case studies where ridership had significantly increased, and the strategies that contributed to such growth, were presented: specifically, the experiences of the Bürgerbus Oberes Glantal in Germany, of the Local Link Mayo in Ireland and of Sopotniki in Slovenia provided valuable insights and a set of actionable recommendations to support the success and sustainability of rural mobility projects
